China’s NEV Exports Hit New Record, Monthly Exports Exceed 200,000 Units for First Time

China's NEV exports continue to rise, with monthly exports exceeding 200,000 units for the first time, and Chinese brands' global competitiveness continues to strengthen.

According to the latest data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China’s NEV exports hit a new record high, with monthly exports exceeding the 200,000-unit mark for the first time, a year-on-year increase of over 50%.

In terms of export structure, pure electric vehicles account for more than 70%, and plug-in hybrid models are also accelerating their growth rate. Export destinations have become more diversified, expanding from traditional European markets to emerging markets such as Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa.

In terms of brands, independent brands such as BYD, SAIC, Chery, and Geely have performed prominently, establishing complete sales and service networks in multiple markets. New power brands such as NIO, XPeng, and Li Auto are also actively deploying overseas markets.

Industry analysts believe that the rapid growth of China’s NEV exports benefits from a complete supply chain system, strong R&D capabilities, and competitive price advantages. It is expected that China’s annual NEV exports will reach more than 2 million units in 2025.
